About RibbonTies : The HairTie Bracelet

Life has a funny way of bringing our passions back into focus. After a successful stint running my hair tie business, Ribbonties, I shifted my energy into The Sorority, leaving behind a venture that once brought me joy. However, an experience last year with my sons reminded me of the magic that can happen when we pursue our dreams.
It all started during story time in my son Johnny Jones classroom at school. As he picked a story called “Lily’s Puppy” about a little girl who dreamed of having a dog, he looked up at me and said, “Mom, I’m going to manifest this story.” I couldn’t help but giggle at my seven-year-old’s profound words. The story resonated with him, depicting how the little girl showed responsibility, eventually leading her parents to surprise her with a dog and it being the happiest day of her life.
That afternoon, as we drove home, Johnny Jones excitedly recounted the story for Jagger, his 12-year-old brother. He has been asking for a dog since he was four, and recently after visiting family in America and meeting a Cavoodle, the requests for a dog were constant! Remembering our previous conversations, I reminded him that if he and his brother showed responsibility, I’d consider getting them a dog.
But I also wanted to teach them about the value of hard work and saving. I suggested they sell hair ties to save for their future furry friend. Jagger, not having long hair, was skeptical, but his brother Johnny Jones chimed in, “I'll sell them!”
They decided to create a poster that read, “We’re trying to buy a dog. Please help us,” and packed 100 packs of Ribbonties. With excitement, they set off around the neighborhood, knocking on doors.
To my surprise, the second house they visited belonged to one of my spray tan clients. She bought some hair ties and asked what kind of dog they wanted. When Jagger mentioned a Cavoodle, she gasped, revealing that she knew someone looking to rehome their two-year-old Cavoodle!
The very next day, I reached out to her friend, and within two days, we were meeting Freddie, the most adorable Cavoodle. The boys instantly fell in love, and we all felt like a perfect match. A week later, we welcomed Freddie into our forever home—all thanks to their hard work, determination, and a sprinkle of serendipity. They sold an impressive $485 in Ribbonties - a quality product loved by many!
What started as a simple venture to teach my boys about responsibility turned into a beautiful journey that brought our family closer together. Ribbonties isn’t just about hair ties —it’s about dreams, determination, and the magic that unfolds when we pursue what we love.
So, here's your everyday reminder that every word you speak is a seed you plant. Johnny Jones said he’d manifest that story—and he did. Now we’re relaunching Ribbonties to share that same magic with you.
